Half Moon Farm LLC is a small family farming endeavor located on land provided by Plainsong Farm in Rockford, Michigan. We are dedicated to caring for people, animals and the earth through thoughtful, sustainable farming and good eating. We care deeply about producing real, healthy, nutrient-dense food. We believe that the natural systems are optimal; we work to restore soil by using biodiverse methods of small-scale livestock and crop management that make productive use of each organism (animal and vegetable) and their innately cooperative qualities.

We use organic seeds, both heirloom and hybrid, raise Freedom Ranger chickens and Isa Brown, Barred Rock laying hens and Broad Breasted White turkeys on pasture. These birds get sunshine, fresh air, lots of grass and bugs and live happy lives. We do not use chemicals, pesticides, fungicides, antibiotics or hormones in the production of our vegetables or animals. We use organic feed for our chickens and turkeys.

We have a booth at the Ada Farmer's Market on Tuesdays from noon-6pm.
